Clubs Days 2006

This is the time for YOU to sign up! Clubs Days go on from 9am--4pm (9am-2pm on Friday), and our booth is at the SUB Partyroom.
We're also looking for volunteers to help us at the booth, so if you have any free time, feel free to drop by!

Open-mic Karaoke Night - Anime Style

Here's your opportunity to show your musical/vocal talents!
If you would like to participate, please bring your music on the day of the event in a format playable on a laptop (ie. mp3, CDs, etc.).
The format of the event will be AE style - we'll have a line up, 2 songs per turn.
We can only provide 1 microphone; duets are fine, so long as you don't mind sharing the microphone.

Executive Elections
Date/Time: Friday, March 2, 2007, 6pm (showing from 5-10pm)

Here's a chance for YOU to take part in running the club!
The guidelines are as follows:
- There are 7 available positions (click for description): President, VP External, VP Internal, Treasurer, Secretary, Librarian, and Director of Communications
- Please be in the room by 6pm
- All candidates must be a UBC student during the next fall semester, and must be a club member.
- All candidates, including current execs, must declare that they will run on March 2.
- Absentees candidates must send a proxy to the showing; if you cannot get one person to support your entry, you are unlikely to win.
- You are allowed to make up a new position, provided you are able to get 50% of the attending members to be in favor of the new position.
- President will be elected first, followed by other positions (more likely to be in the above order, but may change).
- You are more than welcome to do any type of campeigning, though that (of course) may or may not have any effect on your chances of winning.
