| UBC Anime Club Executives for the year 2007-2008
President: Yoshiko Kosugi
Position Role:
You are the official head of the Anime Club of UBC and ultimately responsible for the running of the club. This job will either be a ton of fun, or a lesson in futility, depending on whether you get a good group of Execs to help you run the club. You get to organize meetings to decide what to show, what to purchase, and what events should be held. Typically, the President is also responsible for booking the rooms, dealing with the AV people in Woodward and co-ordinating with the Student Administration Committee (SAC). The most important requirements for this job are the ability to adapt and make decisions if something unexpected happens while still looking confident that everything will turn out ok, but more importantly, keeping on top of the work being performed by your other Execs. You have to know who is supposed to be doing what, and you have to make sure that they are doing it. If they are, then your job just becomes a whole lot easier. Itfs a very rewarding position, and looks a whole lot better on your resume then any other lowly position.
* This description has been written by our former president, Amber Brown.
While we considered revising for the coming years, we have decided to leave it "as is", for we felt it best describes the role of president. As well, it reflects Amber's awesome power that have led us through the previous years.
Vice President External: Florence Ho
Position Role:
- Participate in anime events OUTSIDE of UBC Anime club
- Find appropriate sponsors for the UBC anime club members
- Deals with affairs OUTSIDE the scope of UBC. (e.g. people from outside UBC wish to contact the club)
