Yeah, the romantic premise of Bakuman almost made me stop reading, but at least the other 3/4 don't disappoint. I'm still kind of confused as to how saying "I can't trust you anymore" equals "Consider yourself dumped," to be honest, because in my world (ha, ha) the former would be more of a "I'm angry at you, but I'll get over it, and if you apologize I'll even forgive you."

Actually, I'm a little fond of Aoki, though she's by no means near "compelling and likeable female character" status. All the girls are just complete push-overs, which is kind of hard to tolerate. :|

Anyone reading Heart no Kuni no Alice? That one is awesome >< I just finished up to chp 12 yesterday and re-read the whole thing again today. (12 is what they have for now) It gives off a different vibe from other shoujo mangas.

The girl's not all like "oh noes it's all my fault you got hurt, what should I do T^T" and the guys aren't like "I'm gonna protect you even if it costs my life" *rose petals and cheesy grin* Seriously which century are we in... and still with the Romeo and Juliet bull =_= The typical girls that are weak and meek I find totally annoying. Especially when they blush a lot? and do the "my heart's gonna burst" *doki doki* thing.

It's a reverse harem btw... refreshing one at that

There's the Durarara!! manga, though I suppose there's not much point in reading it if you're already watching.

Besides that...

- A one-shot take on the end of Okita's life (Okita of the real, historical Shinsengumi, that is):

- Moyashimon (I have no idea if anybody ever scanlated this, but it's entertaining)

- Hatsukanezumi no Jikan (this should be on Onemanga, it was enjoyable)


Besides those more seinen-y choices, for anyone else, I have two recommendations:

- Watashi ni XX Shinasai!
This is yet another of those omg-blush!!!-dokidokidoki shoujo manga, but I came close to dying of laughter because the main female character is hilariously forward, and her motives are completely skewed. I think the blushing is more on the part of the guys, actually.

- Sakura Gari
Taisho-era BL by Watase Yuu. If you decide to read this raw, have fun understanding it, because (as expected of Watase, I suppose) it's written in proper Taisho dialect, from what I can tell. ||orz But there are scans of it somewhere, too. At any rate, it's twisted and tragic and depressing, but also awesome.
